NSCN (I-M) condolence

NSCN (I-M) and Wancho region of NSCN/GPRN have expressed shock at the tragic incident of Nginu in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh (Wancho region under Nagalim) on July 11, where six brave soldiers were brutally gunned down by combined forces of Assam Rifles, Indian Army and Arunachal Pradesh state police forces, in contravention of the existing Indo-Naga ceasefire. 

A condolence message by NSCN (I-M) through its MIP and the NSCN/GPRN Wancho region through the CAO Wancho region, Wanham Wangsa stated that, NSCN and Naga Army bow their heads to pay homage to the departed comrades. It stated that, the vacuum created by their loss will be difficult to fill in, but the legacy of supreme love bequeathed by them will always be remembered. 
NSCN (I-M) conveyed heartfelt condolences and share the grief with the bereaved families and pray that the Almighty God give them the strength and solace to overcome the tragedy. 
It also stated that for the selfless services rendered towards the cause of the Naga nation and as a mark of tribute to the departed Naga national workers, the office of the Adjutant General of the Naga Army has posthumously promoted the six Naga Army personnel to their next higher rank, namely ‘Lieutenant’ (posthumous) Somaya Shatsang, ‘2nd Lieutenant’ (posthumous) Ashak Wangsa, ‘Sergeant Major’ (posthumous) Somipam Shaiza. ‘Sergeant major’ (posthumous) Sawang Pansa, ‘Corporal’ (posthumous) Lentsuba Lalii and ‘Corporal’ (posthumous) Paogouhao Lhangum.
