NSCN (I-M) Konyak region, Chakhesang region and Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) have reaffirmed its stand to uphold the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 and for inclusion of Naga flag and yehzabo (constitution).
Konyak region: Konyak region in a press release by CAO/caretaker Phuae Konyak and secretary Mandao Konyak stated that, “since the inception of the Naga revolutionary movement, the Konyak being one of the major tribes among the Nagas has played its crucial role along with the rest of the Nagas in the freedom movement.” It also stated that many elders and seniors bore the brunt of the outcome of the struggle and many gave their lives voluntarily for the cause of Naga struggle. Konyak communities were also left with a heavy yoke to bear the separation from one’s own blood brothers and sisters living on the other sides of the fence (stretching far to Arunachal, Assam, Myanmar and present Nagaland state), stated the release. Inspite of so many odds and events which have been witnessed with nothing concrete so far, the Konyak region will continue to uphold and firmly support the Framework Agreement.
Chakhesang region: Chakhesang national workers in a press release by caretaker CAO deputy kilonser, Zhokhoneyi Soho cautioned the government of India “to exercise democratic maturity and political will” to give recognition to the Naga flag and yehzabo (constitution) which were the inherent identity of the Naga political movement. It therefore stated that, Naga solution without the Naga flag and yehzabo (constitution) will be incomplete and unacceptable to the Naga people.
KTU: Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) during its emergency meeting held at the council headquarters (CHQ), Hebron on September 25, under the chairmanship of president, Lh. Paohao passed two resolutions which were unanimously adopted. A press release by KTU, NSCN/GPRN member steering committee and president Lh. Paohao stated that, meeting resolved to continue supporting Naga solution based on the historic Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015. It also resolved that Naga solution should include Naga flag and yehzabo (constitution), and appealed to both the GoI and NSCN to hammer out the solution that was honorable and acceptable to the Nagas.
Pangmi region: During a meeting held at regional office on September 26, all rank and file of the Pangmi region, NSCN/GPRN unanimously adopted the resolution to reiterate the unflinching stand and support to the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015. A press release by Pangmi region secretary, Josh Naga stated that, the house also resolved to reaffirm the stand on the Naga national flag and yehzabo (constitution) that must form a part of the Indo-Naga political solution in order “to qualify the Naga deal as honourable and acceptable.”
Sumi Region: NSCN (I-M) Sumi region has also unanimously resolved to firmly stand and support the historical Framework Agreement signed between GoI and NSCN on August 3, 2015. Sumi region has further agreed to declare that any solution without flag and constitution will not be honoured and accepted.
