Mokokchung transmission division (MTD) has informed all consumers under Mokokchung town and its surrounding areas that load shedding may be imposed as and when required from August 12 to 21. A press release by MTD SDO (Trans) stated that, this was due to necessitated maintenance of 66/33KV 20MVA power transformer at 132/66/33KV Aolichen substation, Mokokchung. All the public in the affected areas have been requested to extend cooperation and bear with the inconvenience during this period.
Pungro town: Power supply was disrupted at Pungro town PWD ward and some parts of adjoining colonies due to lightning strike which had damaged the transformer of 250KVA, 11/0.4KV on August 8. EE (Elect) Kiphire Power department informed that it was putting all efforts to restore power supply at the earliest possible time. The consumers have been requested to bear with the inconvenience.
