Officials of Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) led by its grievances cell convenor, Akangmeren, visited the landslide affected area at Alongmen Ward, Mokokchung on August 17.
In a press release by OKM vice president, Akangmeren requested the concerned department to look into relief of the affected family. OKM expressed deep regret for the affected family and 30 households due to the natural disaster. In this regard, OKM also hoped that repair works and necessary action would be carried out by the concerned authorities at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the OKM also lauded the minister of Housing, Tongpang Ozukum, the district administration and NSDMA for timely intervention.
