Highway Patrol team of Kohima Police while conducting routine checking of vehicles arrested two persons on September 5.
According to PRO DEF, Kohima, the arrested are Bijoy Pandey, 31 years, F/name Bimol Pandey, V/O Hojai, P/O, P/S-Hojai, district Hojai, Assam, P/add Blue Hill Colony Dimapur and Bharul Khan, 19 years, F/name Ayel Khan, V/O Barpata, PO, PS Barpata, district Barpata, Assam, P/add Blue Hill Colony Dimapur, for illegal transportation of 126 cases of IMFL worth approximately 6 lakhs from a vehicle bearing registration number AS 15AC3581 from Peducha check gate.
Accordingly, the illegal items along with the vehicle have been seized. In this connection, a case has been registered at Kohima Sechü (Zubza) PS and investigation is on.
