DAPC urges concerned authority for starting work on NH-202

Developmental Action Plan Committee (DAPC) Tuensang district has urged the department of PWD (National Highways) Nagaland and National Highways & Infrastructure Development Cooperation Limited (NHIDCL) to start the work at NH-202 Mokokchung-Tuensang road latest by first week of December. 

A press release by DAPC president, N. Kaimang Chang, general secretary Singkhum and press secretary, Tia Sangtam stated that, as per given assurance to the DAPC, it has been allotted “special repair of NH-202 Mokokchung- Tuensang road (0.000 – 95.000kms) for the fiscal year 2020-21.” It was also hopeful that widening of 2-lane would soon be initiated after the completion of this allotted work. DAPC therefore called upon the concerned department to begin the work after completing necessary formalities within the month of November. 

 It must be noted that, DAPC had earlier met union minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) India, Nitin Gadkariji on August 10, 2016 and also a consequent meeting with Er. S.C Mandalji on August 9, 2019 to discuss on the pertaining issue and even submitted a memorandum. DAPC also lauded the MoRTH, New Delhi for the positive response.
