Khango Konyak-led NSCN (K) has termed the press release issued by NSCN/GPRN (K) MIP on Sunday as baseless and asked the latter to vacate the ceasefire office here and submit all its properties.
In a release, issued through dy. secretary MIP Chungki, the Khango-led NSCN (K) asserted that it has the right to claim and take further steps since the “disowned” general secretary had no right to occupy office and its properties.
The group further announced that after a deliberate discussion, it had resolved to elect its president/chairman Khango Konyak as co-convenor of Working Committee (WC), NNPGs and kilonser AM Kaiba as WC member.
The release also said that claim, regarding support and co-operation gained from all regions was baseless, as all recognised regions of NSCN-K were intact and present at CHQ Anmoi (Yongkhao village).
The group also declared that all statements issued without the consent from the ministry was unacceptable and would not be entertained in future.
