Deputy commissioner and district election officer, Kohima Mohammed Ali Shihab A has informed all concerned that under Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, in the period of 48 hours ending with the hour fixed for the close of poll, no campaign can be carried out.
DC has informed all concerned to take note of the restrictions and ensure that no political functionaries/party workers/procession functionaries/campaign functionaries etc from outside the constituency and who are not voters of the constituency shall remain in the constituency from 4 p.m of November 1 till the election is over.
