
Child Protection Services (CPS), department of Social Welfare Nagaland, celebrated “child rights week” from November 14 to 20, under the theme “It takes a community to protect a child”.
A press release by Social Welfare department stated that, the week-long celebration included mass poster campaign by 11 district child protection units across the state under the theme. It also added that communities and neighbourhoods played important role in ensuring safety and well being of children. The campaign aimed at building community commitment towards creating safe and secure environment for children and raising awareness at village and ward level on child rights and protection issues.
