
District review meeting of medical department Kiphire was held at DC office, conference hall on December 3, chaired by DC Kiphire, Ajit Kumar Ranjan.
A press release by district media officer stated that during the meeting, block programme managers (BPMs) from CNO’s office gave powerpoint presentations of their respective block, comprising Kiphire Sadar, Pungro block, and Sitimi/Seyochung block.
The presentations focussed on health indicators, immunisation, human resources and action plans for improvement among others.
A brief report was also presented by district coordinator, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY), wherein discussion was held to make public aware of benefits under the scheme and subsequently increase enrolment.
DC reviewed the reports and gave feedbacks on areas that needed improvement and actions to be taken to improve performance percentage, while emphasising on IEC activities to sensitise communities about the importance of ante natal check-up and institutional deliveries.
The meeting also deliberated on infrastructural requirements in health units under CMO’s office to which the DC took note to look into. Meeting was attended by administrative officials from district headquarters and three blocks, medical officials and three blocks including other vertical programmes.
