NDPP to take steps for strengthening party

In line with the chief minister Neiphiu Rio announcing 2021 as the “year of party consolidation & strengthening” for Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), the party president Chingwang Konyak has directed all party organisations to take steps and measures for consolidation and strengthening at all levels throughout the year.

In a notification, NDPP president has directed all party organisations at the assembly constituency levels to submit reports to the region president every two months on party activities.

Further, region presidents have been asked to submit bi-monthly reports to the central headquarters: first report by June 30 and next report by August 31 followed by October 31 and final report by December 20.

Leaders in-charge of organisations, committees and regions have also been directed to submit reports accordingly.

Convenors of all committees have been also asked to follow the same schedule. 

Party president stated that consolidation and strengthening activities should include: intensive enrolment campaigns; consultative meetings at all levels; increase use of social media platforms etc by party rank and file; conduct of socially positive initiatives; assist the government agencies to ensure that government’s welfare and public programmes and policies reach targeted sections of society; take proactive steps that contribute towards transparency, good governance and meritocracy; streamlining of financial procedures as instructed by the treasurer’s office; establishment of party office and properties in every region and progress reports to be submitted bimonthly with photographs.
