DPDB and SDPDB meetings conducted

Monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) of Wokha, Mokokchung, Zunheboto and sub-divisional planning and developmental board (SDPDB) of Mangkolemba were held separately at respective districts and sub-division, informed DIPR reports.
Wokha DPDB: Monthly Wokha DPDB meeting was held on Tuesday at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha.
The meeting chaired by vice chairman DPDB & DC Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon felicitated medal holders who participated during the recently concluded 1st Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) held from December 12-16, 2017 at Dimapur.
Wokha District won 21 medals including 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 10 Bronze. Altogether 84 contingents took part in the event in eight different disciplines.
The DC reminded head of offices who have not submitted the list of drivers, government vehicles and employees list to submit the same at the earliest.
Work distribution for Republic Day, 2018 celebration was done during the planning board meeting. The DC also informed that demonstration of VVPAT for the upcoming State Assembly Election was underway in all the polling stations under the supervision of Sector Magistrates and urged all to extend co-operation while doing the exercise. Project Director, DRDA presented their departmental activities and programmes during the meeting. E.E. (R&B) is requested to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
DPDB Mokokchung: In Mokokchung the DPDB meeting was held at ADC (Planning) conference hall on January 8, chaired by deputy commissioner Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal.
According to DIPR report, DC during the meeting reminded all the head of offices to actively co-operate and prepare for the forthcoming assembly election, saying that every department was on important mechanism during the election.  The DC informed all the departments to appoint a nodal officer and activate at the earliest by submitting the name and contact number to the election department so as to effectively disseminate and collect information in connection with the election.
He also asked the head offices in the  district to refrain from granting leave to the staff and also to brief them about the importance of attending training and other such activities in connection with the elections. The DC also said that he expected prompt response from all the departments.
The DC informed the house that basing on the criticality 30% of the polling stations in the district would be covered by web casting to ensure fair and free vote casting during the election. He further asked the concern departments to submit weekly report every Thursday saying that those reports have to be sent every Friday to the concern authority.
The chairman asked the EE PHED and EE Power departments to make necessary arrangement in all polling stations and asked the power department to make adequate electrification around the strong room which was located at the treasury office, Mokokchung.
He further cautioned all the head of offices to refrain from sending subordinate officers to attend different committee meeting without proper intimation. 
Work distribution of different departments for the coming Republic Day celebration was also read out by DC.  
Dimapur DPDB: Dimapur DPDB meeting for the month of January was held in the conference hall of deputy commissioner Dimapur on January 8.
According to DIPR report, DC Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel, who chaired the meeting welcomed the members and reminded them to be regular in attending the DPDB meeting as issues in connection with Dimapur district were discussed during such meetings. 
Sushil Kumar also directed the HoDs to be vigilant for the ensuing general elections saying that the responsibility of informing the subordinate officers with regard to election issues was on the HoDs. In the meeting, work distribution for the forthcoming Republic Day was also assigned to various departments.
Zunheboto DPDB: Monthly DPDB meeting was held on January 8 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner and vice-chairman, DPDB, Tridibesh Roy.
DC asked all the heads of offices to submit staff lists and attached vehicles at the earliest for forth-coming assembly election. The board also discussed the forthcoming Republic Day celebration wherein distribution of works to various departments were assigned by SDO (C), Temjennaro Longkumer. District planning officer, N. Zhasa later reviewed the minutes of last DPDB meeting. Land Resources department will present their activities in the next DPDB meeting. 
Mangkolemba SDPDB: Mangkolemba sub-divisional planning and developmental board meeting was held at additional deputy commissioner’s conference hall Mangkolemba on January 6 under the chairmanship of EAC Mangkolemba Kedale Sebu.
According to DIPR report, during the meeting board decided to discuss matter in regard to the application submitted by VEC Akumen for the upgradation of Government Primary School, in the next meeting in presence of SDEO Mangkolemba. Work distribution for the ensuing Republic Day celebration was also done. The chairman also sought cooperation from all the members for successful celebration of Republic Day.
