
The state government and its agencies have been issuing advisories and information to mitigate the spread of the virus. The medical department along with the district task forces (DTF) has also been conducting random testing in order to check and stop further community spread.
Kiphire: Truenat machine and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were launched at Pungro town on Thursday, in the presence of district administration, medical department and various NGOs of Pungro.
According to DIPR report, while speaking at the occasion, EAC Pungro, Nuhuta Tunyi called upon the public and government agencies for concerted effort in the fight against COVID-19.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by MO CHC Pungro, Dr. Bipen while the keynote address was delivered by MO, Dr. Sikulimew. The Truenat machines were dedicated by Pungro Town Baptist Church Pastor, Tsuyihba.
Dimapur: Out of 116 random samples tested from around Dimapur and Chümoukedima area here Thursday, 19 samples were tested positive.
According to the random testing report, the random testing was collected from unity village, Naga united and Diphupar under Chümoukedima area where 16 samples were tested positive.
Meanwhile, at town area, the samples were collected from PWD and Lingrijan. Out of 66 samples, three were tested positive. (Staff Reporter)
While expressing gratitude to the government for installing Truenat machine at Pungro, YTC executive chairman, Y. Shelimthong stated that it would aid in monitoring and handling of COVID-19 situation under Pungro area.

Peren: DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has informed that the ongoing lockdown in the district has been extended till May 31 and all such activities restricted/permitted as per the order shall continue in addition to the following.
The DC has also directed all sub-divisional task force in the district to devise a mechanism to facilitate opening of vegetable, fish/meat vendors, local grocery stores and hardware stores for public purchase as per local requirements in respective sub-divisions ensuring the enforcement of COVID-19 protocols.
Tuensang: ADC & administrator, Tuensang Town Council (TTC), Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma has informed that various salesperson /street hawkers were roaming door to door in town area for business purposes, which was posing a potential threat for the spread of COVID-19 in town area.
In this regard and as decided during the meeting of DTF on COVID-19, all such business activities have been prohibited with immediate effect until further orders.
DC informed that any violation of this order shall attract penal action under the relevant provision of Law.
