Second phase of social audit on MGNREGA was conducted by the Society for Training and Research on Rural Development (STRORD) in November 2017 and public hearing on December 14, at DRDA resource centre, Mon.
According to DRDA Mon, PD&DPC MGNREGA, Tsalito Sangtam, during the public hearing, village-wise findings were presented by district resource person (DRPs) Vihuka Chishi and Khekiye K. Shohe.
The hearing was followed by discussion from the five villages covering five blocks in the district. The villages covered under second phase were Tobu under Tobu block, Chinglong under Aboi block, Wetting under Phomching block, Chenwetnyu under Chen block and Longting under Tizit block.
All the findings were discussed and resolved to take corrective measures to ensure effective implementation of MGNREGA with transparency and accountability.
