An ex-servicemen rally was conducted at Rangapahar Dimapur on December 12 under the aegis of the Spear Corps of the Army. Over 200 ex-servicemen and Veer Naris attended the rally. The event included establishment of various stalls extending health, banking, resettlement, pension issues, ex-servicemen contributory health scheme (ECHS) assistance and recruitment information/facilities for the attendees.
The event commenced with its inauguration by Maj Gen Atanu K Pattanaik, SM, Chief of Staff of the Spear Corps, followed by sharing of information on provisions and facilities for the ex-servicemen and their dependents by representatives of the district administration. War veteran team from the World War II and six Veer Naris were also felicitated during the proceedings.
