On the occasion of Rotary Day of Service, Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) in association with Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley organised an All Women Discussion Program titled Dashabhuja at IEM Management House on August 13.
It may be noted that Institute of Engineering & Management, conducts various charity drives in association with various charity clubs as it believes in the motto “charity and benevolence is the key to being successful in both personal and professional life”.
The event was led by some female professors of IEM, Kolkata and some students who guided women belonging to the lower economic strata of society regarding the importance of their health and hygiene.
An open discussion forum was conducted where the insecurities and anxieties of all the beneficiaries were heard and resolution was solicited. Rtn. RanjanaMustuddi, Assistant Governor, Zone 8 of Rotary District 3291, Rtn. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Club President and Rtn. Dr. Samapika Das Biswas, President elect (21-22), Kolkata graced the occasion and congratulated IEM and Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley for this novel cause. More than 35 women participants and their kids attended the programme. Proper social distancing and sanitisation protocol was maintained by the college authority throughout the event.
