
Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) framework agreement between deputy commissioner & district election officer Mon and Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB), apex body of the Konyak Baptist churches, was signed today on December 4 at DC chamber, Mon.
Both the partners have agreed to enter into an agreement in their endeavour to sensitize and make electorate sensitive about their rights to vote, process about exercising of franchise including ethical and inducement free voting. As per the agreement KBBB will provide SVEEP coverage through their established network of communications and events and the DEO would provide technical guidance and assistance in designing activities and contents for SVEEP.
The KBBB, has been engaged in promotion of ethical, clean and informed elections. Since June 2017 KBBB has been spreading awareness on the “clean election campaign”, covering village to village, stressing on ethical practices and inducement free voting.
