NDPP Phek region adopts 5-point resolution

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Phek Region held its general meeting cum get-together on November 5, at Kapamodzu Peak, Zhavame village, Phek district.

A press release by NDPP Phek region stated that as part of the meeting, NDPP Phek region unanimously adopted five-point resolution presented by convenor Resolution Committee, Neikhrolo Khalo and member secretary, Dr. K. Hoshi. 

The resolution agreed to appreciate chief minister Neiphiu Rio for his dynamic leadership in the government, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak for his able leadership in party organization and minister Neiba Kronu for his unreserved leadership given to the party in the district. The region reaffirmed absolute confidence in their leadership and assured to extend all-out cooperation to them even in the days ahead.

The region further welcomed farsighted political action of chief minister in forming opposition-less government under “United Democratic Alliance” (UDA) in the interest of Naga political issues, and was confident that UDA government would leave no stone unturned to facilitate political negotiation between Government of India and Naga negotiating groups for acceptable and honourable solution at the earliest as desired by Nagas.

The region resolved to adopt open door policy to welcome all like-minded people willing to join the party so as to work together and ensure return of NDPP-led government to power after the 2023 general election.

Further, with the two-lane road construction in full swing in Phek district, the house resolved that on completion of projects, the NDPP Phek region resolved to undertake extensive fruit tree plantation along roads under the banner of tree for wealth.
