Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has directed all car servicing centres and stone quarries along the Highway to ensure proper drainage and disposal of water and material waste.

According to DIPR, the DC noted that several car servicing centres and stone quarries were causing deterioration of the highway and obstruction of traffic flow due to unscientific disposal of water waste and materials from servicing centres and stone quarries.

Further, DC directed the car servicing centres and quarries to erect proper material covering/shield and promote clean environment and beautification.
