
Inderjit Camotra, who was born in Kohima, has been appointed the first CEO of Unity Bank.
He is the son of S. Darshan Singh former law and justice secretary, government of Nagaland.
Inderjit studied in Baptish High and Little Flower School Kohima and was also a topper and gold medallist.
After his schooling, he pursued engineering at IIT Delhi and went overseas for MBA at New York. Camotra was earlier with StanChart, ANZ and Citibank.
Unity Bank commenced its operations on November 1, after it got the banking licence from the Reserve Bank of India. The bank, with equity of Rs 1100 crores and over 2 lakh customers, is promoted by Centrum Group & Bharat Pe, and seeks to be India’s Digital Bank.
Unity Bank will shortly takeover the ailing PMC bank which has Rs. 10,600 cores of deposits and over 10 lakh customers
The bank also aims to have over 150 branches across India.
