MCTE observes 11th foundation day

Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) celebrated its 11th foundation day at the college premises on Saturday.
A press release from MCTE informed that during the programme, vice principal of the college, Dr. Temsurenla spoke on the “significance of the day” as one of not just retrospection but also of introspection.
She also recollected her experiences as a teacher at MCTE and encouraged the student and teachers to live by the college motto, “anvil of knowledge”.
Meanwhile, MCTESU general secretary E. Phongle spoke on “my vision for the college” and said that the “teacher education” in the college was a process of refinement.
He called upon the student-teachers to “play a pivotal role towards inculcating values of peace, liberty, equality and justice among the budding minds of Nagaland”.
The programme concluded with an extempore speech competition where members from various clubs participated.
The first prize was awarded to Imchamanen, cultural club, second prize went to Olempenla, aesthetic club and third prize to KitheliYepthomi, drama and music club.
The programme was chaired by Mokokchung College of Teacher Education assistant professor, Kerilhusa Peseyie.
