The ongoing 9th Kohima Town A/C of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) is headed for the finals on Friday at Pusolieke (D. Khel ground), Kohima.
In women’s volleyball semi-final matches on Thursday, Ward 6 (D. Block) beat Ward 19 (Jail/PR Hill) in the first match while Ward 16 (New Reserve) beat Ward 4 (Nagabazaar) in the second match and progressed to the final which will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
In the first match of men’s football quarter finals, Ward 14 (Porterlane) beat Ward 4 (Nagabazaar) 2-1 while in the second match, Ward 12 (Upper Chandmari) won the tiebreaker by one goal after a 2-goal draw match with Ward 16C (Lerie).
In the third match, Ward 17B (Electrical/Agri Farm/Mewi Bogei/Forest) won the tie breaker by a goal after a single goal draw match with Ward 14B (Old Minister’s Hill).
In the final match of the day, Ward 19B (Jail/PR Hill) lost to Ward 16A (Lerie Chazou/New Minister’s Hill) 1-2.
The semi-finals for men’s football would be played on Friday where Ward 14 (Porterlane) would face Ward 17B (Electrical/Agri Farm/Mewi Bogei/Forest) in the first match which begins at 8 a.m.
In the second semi-final, Ward 12 (Upper Chandmari) would face Ward 16A (Lerie Chazou/New Minister’s Hill).
