November 1, 2017 | by admin

Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has served an ultimatum on the state government to disburse scholarship in full amount for the current year 2016-2017 within seven days with effect from November 1, 2017.
In a representation submitted to the state chief minister through chief secretary, the ENCSU president, M Longre Chang, general secretary, Wangnei C Jessuhu, said the ministry of tribal affairs released first instalment on December 28, 2016 amounting to Rs. 13, 44,00,000 in respect of Nagaland. The union alleged that department of higher education had mishandled and mismanaged the scholarship scheme.
Affirming that it would not tolerate such manipulative policy to continue, the ENCSU demanded the state government take immediate corrective measure and punish all the erring officials as per the law.
ENCSU cautioned that failing to meet its demands within stipulate time would compel the union to take its own course of action.
