BAN welcomes implementation of SARFAESI Act


Business Association of Nagas (BAN) lauded the state government for implementation of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002.
In a press note, BAN president L Mongkum Jamir general secretary Dr. Yan Murry said that the implementation could not have come at a better time when businesses were trying to recover from the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
With implementation of the SARFAESI Act, BAN said Naga entrepreneurs and businesses can now have a breather to sustain and expand its businesses while contributing towards employment generation and building our state economy.
BAN assured to closely work with banks and financial institutions so that SARFAESI Act is implemented in letter and spirit.
State logs 4 fresh Covid-19 cases
DIMAPUR, DEC 12 (NPN): Nagaland on Sunday recorded four fresh Covid-19 positive cases while no deaths were reported for the ninth consecutive day.
Of the fresh cases, three were from Kohima and one in Mokokchung, taking the total caseload to 32115.
Further, the death toll remained unchanged at 699 (including 16 non-Covid deaths but with positivity).
Nagaland currently has 102 active cases.
PTI adds: With 7,774 people testing positive for Covid-19 infection in a day, India’s tally climbed to 3,46,90,510, while the number of active cases declined to 92,281, the lowest in 560 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The death toll mounted to 4,75,434 with the addition of 306 new fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 a.m.
