One day literary cum cultural day was organised by Mountain View Christian College (MVCC) Kohima on September 15 at the college campus.
In a press note MVCC Kohima stated that the literary program took up the first session under the theme “I Dwell in Possibilities”. A play in one act “Dreams Do Come True” was presented by the department of English.
The First spelling bee competition organised by the department of English was won by BA 1st semester student, Vedolu; competitions on essay and poetry was won by Viletre and Khuosa respectively.
The cultural programme hosted by assistant professor, department of History, Moasen under the theme “Celebrating Cultural Diversify” wherein “The colours of Nagaland” was showcased. MVCC Kohima, academic dean, Rongsenkala exhorted the gathering on the theme.
A folkdance was presented by students from Angami tribe, students from Sumi tribe presented folklore and a folksong was presented by students from Konyak tribe. The best traditional attire was awarded to Bushamongba from the Chang tribe. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by cultural secretary.
