Denizen of Pughoboto town along with ADC, Avelu Ruho, SDO (C) Chonbenthung Ezung and other officers celebrated Tuluni festival on July 8 at local ground Pughoboto.
According to DIPR report, Ruho pointed on the need to protect and preserve the culture and traditions for the younger generation. Maintaining that the forefathers were hardworking and generous, she called on the youngsters to inculcate those values.
Marking the event, the 1st Tuluni Inter-Ward Sports Meet which included volley ball and other traditional games were held for both man and women. Hebuloto colony and Medical colony emerged as the overall champion and runners up respectively. Significance of the festival was narrated by Benito Wotsa and a poem about the festival was presented by Toli H. The celebration included cultural display by various troupes. Chairman, PATC, Viyikhu A Swu also exhorted the gathering in the programme.
