As the number of intending candidates as well as party workers from other parties to BJP continues to grow, there is dismay within BJP against finalization of the NDPP(40):BJP(20) seat sharing agreement in Delhi on Thursday. According to BJP Intending Candidates Forum convenor and former minister Nuklotoshi, the forum has appealed to the Central leaders to reconsider its decision and increase the seat sharing deal to 30:30.
While acknowledging the sagacity and wisdom of the Central leaders for such a decision, Nuklotoshi however said that by signing a “one sided agreement, the BJP has missed a very great opportunity to form a strong and stable government which has a strong national interest. He opined the forthcoming election was an opportunity for the BJP to contest in all the Assembly seats if not, then at least to reconsider amending the seat sharing agreement even on 30:30 basis for both NDPP and BJP.
The forum said the assessment carried out from ground zero indicated a positive response and atmosphere for the BJP to win more seats even on its own with winnable candidates within the forum.
The forum therefore felt that such an opportunity should not have been missed or ignored.
