Advisor for Geology & Mining, NBDA, NEPED, Naiba Konyak has lauded Catholic community for their immense contribution in the field of education in Nagaland.
Inaugurating the newly built primary section of the Newman Higher Secondary School (NMHSS), Tobu on Saturday, Naiba Konyak also appreciated the Diocese of Kohima under the leadership of Bishop James Thoppil, for the many ventures in the field of education and social empowerment.
He said in education “learning is never-ending because knowledge is endless” and added that there was so much to learn in life that it was virtually impossible to ever finish one’s education entirely.
Being a product of the Catholic school, Naiba appreciated fathers, sisters, the advisory board, the Catholic community for the magnificent school building successfully completed.
Naiba specially thanked Fr. Sivi George, principal, NMHSS, Tobu and his team for the developmental works done at Tobu.
Blessing the new building, secretary, CEDOK, Nagaland, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Charalel, said that the little help given to the Catholic Church was never a waste as the Church returns the same for the development of the community in multiple folds.
BDO, Tobu, W. Moba Konyak, also applauded the priests and sisters for the committed service rendered to the people with no distinction of religion or cast. He urged the people to collaborate with the institution because the school was for the development of the people and of the area.

Poangba president KU (B) Tobu and his colleagues, village council representatives from all villages under Tobu sub-division, women association leaders of Tobu town and village, DBs and GBs of Tobu, student leaders and various NGOs, priests and sisters from nearby parishes, the village chairman and village leaders of Tobu, parents and dignitaries and other invited guests.
Rev. Fr. Sivi George, Principal, Newman HSS, Tobu gave the welcome address and vote of thanks was delivered by Changku A. Welcome song, prayer dance, chorography and action songs were the special items presented by the students.
