Yemhi Memorial College (YMC) organised its graduation day on Saturday at the college conference hall wherein 36 graduates were conferred with degrees.
The programme was graced by Mughali, wife of Nepali basti chairman, as the chief guest and vice-principal, Patkai Christian College, Dimapur, Dr. Jyoti George Roy as guest of honour.
Speaking in the graduating programme, Dr.Joyti congratulated the graduating students and the faculty for their success. Dr. Jyoti encouraged the students to strive for personality development and to aim higher in life. In order to become achievers and leaders, she said one should never forsake values of life. The college also awarded best graduate award (arts) to Pewsuthong K.Yim and Aasha Sharma for best graduate award (commerce), best merit certificate award was awarded to Limetoli K.Kiho for scoring distinction marks in three subjects. Cash award was also given to the best graduates.
In the programme, invocation was said by Bokali Kiba, welcome address and exhortation was delivered by principal YMC, Makhan Chetia and special song was presented by Shiholi Futhena.
Short speech was delivered on behalf of the graduating students by Pewsuthong K.Yim. The programme was chaired by Payal and vote of thanks was proposed by Konang.
