ZSU career guidance-cum-orientation

One-day seminar on career guidance-cum-orientation programme was conducted by Zhavame Students Union (ZSU) at CAN building on May 27, with assoc. prof. SCERT, Dr. Zavise Rume as resource person. 
Dr. Rume highlighted that career development had different stages and that making a career decision comprised of eight-step process including defining goal, staging the decision to be made, analyzing resources, analyzing needs and wants, identifying choices, gathering information, evaluating choices and making the decision.
He exhorted the students that career development was in fact a life-long process, while stressing on  the structure of differential aptitude test, the multiple intelligence chart and different career options in subjects like English, History, Economics, Sociology, Psychology and other skill based careers. 
He encouraged the students to have a burning desire, will power, positive attitude, mastery of subject, strong academic foundation, language foundation, awareness and goal orientation to succeed in their career. 
Advisor to ZSU, Tho-o Shupao gave a short sharing where he advised students to manage their time well, have a daily routine, a daily, weekly, monthly or a yearly target while including their goals in their daily activities.
Entrepreneur Rekha Rose Dukru called upon the students to take initiative while impressing that success belonged to those who do not wait for the opportunity to come to them but to those who take the initiative in a world that was constantly changing.
Earlier invocation was pronounced by Modovi Shupao, welcome address by Derhü Pohena, Bunyi Krocha was the leader. Khemo Domeh led the second session while Vikhrulu Pohena said the closing prayer.
