In view of the 16th (Special) session of the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on May 27, the following traffic regulation would be enforced as part of the security arrangement.
According to Sr. SP Kohima, only vehicles with appropriate car passes would be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat. No vehicle would be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 6 a.m. onwards during the Assembly sessions at the following routes– from BSNL Telephone exchange till Classic Island, from Raj Bhavan till M.S Classic Island, from Classic Island till Assembly Secretariat via Razhü Point.
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply from High School Jn. to Assembly Secretariat via Sanuoru subway during Assembly Session, except government/departmental buses. No entry of heavy vehicles in Kohima town during from 7 a.m. till the Assembly session is over. All loading/unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 7 a.m. during Assembly sessions, police said. Further, parking of heavy vehicles has been restricted along “D” Block road. Police will tow away the defaulting vehicles and charges borne by the vehicle owners, Sr. SP stated.
