Various Lotha organisations have condemned the action of Abdul Kuttuh who molested and committed a heinous crime against a minor girl at Yanpha village on May 15. All the organisations have urged upon the law enforcing authority to award stern and befitting punishment as per the law and to deliver justice upon the victim and family.
LSU: The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) Okying Wokha in a condemnation note by general secretary, Ashanthung Humtsoe strongly condemned the inhuman and barbaric act meted towards one of its member, a student studying in class- 2 at Yanpha village bordering Assam under Ralan area of Wokha district. LSU stated that this kind of inhuman act should be condemned by every right thinking citizen of the society.
YVC: Yanpha Village Council (YVC) in a condemnation note by chairman Nlumbemo Humtsoe taking strong note of the incident have demanded the culprit to be awarded severe punishment as the action was against the Naga Customary Law and beyond tolerance. It demanded the concern authorities to take up the matter seriously and case against the culprit be non-bailable. It also cautioned that stern action would be initiated against those individuals trying to bail out the culprit.
YSU: Yanpha Students Union (YSU) in a condemnation by president Pidemo Tungoe and general secretary Sulanthung Kikon have also requested the law enforcing authorities to take up the matter seriously and award befitting punishment to the culprit and warned of strict action against those individuals or groups trying to bail out the culprit.
YEH: Yanpha Eloe Hoho (YEH) in a condemnation note by president Yisali Humtsoe and general secretary, Yibeni Humtsoe condemned the act as an insult and against the Naga customary law and should be condemned by every right thinking citizen.
