Various organisations have condemned the raid carried out by 32 Assam Rifles in the residences of pastor Sumi Baptist Church and kilonser steering committee member of NSCN (I-M), Toivi Aye on May 13 at Purana Bazaar ‘B’.
KHPB ‘B’: Kachari Hari (community) Purana Bazaar ‘B’ (KHPB ‘B’) in a condemnation note by KHPB ‘B’ chairman Babul Mech and general secretary, Ranjet Mech stated that at a time when ceasefire was in force and peace was prevailing, the despicable act of the AR troops in intruding into homes at forbidden hours as early as 3 am has created fear psychosis and caused negative psychological impact on the innocent children and families not only of the two homes but their surroundings too. It stated that Toivi Aye was also taken into custody by the 32 AR and later forwarded to police custody even as no incriminating documents were found in his residence. Kachari Hari therefore demands for unconditional release of Toivi Aye, a respectable and bonafide member of Purana Bazaar ‘B’.
SVUD: Sitimi Village Union Dimapur (SVUD) in a condemnation note by chairman Shikato Zhimo and secretary, Yeveto K. Swu termed the action as “double standard tactics and immature for unethically preaching goodness, throwing venom on the negotiating team who have recognised and entered the dialogue to hammer out permanent solution of the vexed Naga political problem”. SVUD termed the action as “a perpetrator who hatches and exhibits its draconian act” leaving the family members in fear psychosis even in their home. SVUD has  urged upon the right thinking citizens to condemn such unwarranted act by the errant military jawans/soldiers. It also urged upon the Indian military and concern 32 Assam Rifles to desist from such “premature provocative action and have positive intention for solution”.
PB B’VC: Purana Bazar B’ (Bokajan) Village Council (PB B’VC) along with GBs, women and youth organisation in a joint condemnation note by chairman Kiyezhe Sumi and secretary Joy Mech condemned the act 32 Assam Rifles. The council also cautioned the Assam Rifles to remain vigil to safeguard the peaceful co-existence and not to be carried away by unnecessary raids and arrests. Further the council have appealed to the judiciary department to release Toivi Aye at the earliest.
