In observation of oral cancer screening month, National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) in collaboration with Iva Healthcare Ltd. & Renascent Pharma organized a free dental camp at Government Middle School, Sabangya Compound on April 25.
At the camp, Dr. Sentirenla educated the students on the importance of practising good oral health habits by avoiding use of tobacco. She highlighted the main cause responsible for oral cancer and other problems due to poor dental health.
The medical team was led by IMDH senior dental surgeon Dr.Taliwaba Ao and assisted by staff of Sabangya PHC and teachers from GMS Sabangya.
Free oral hygiene kit, containing a tooth brush and toothpaste was also distributed to the students.
