Neise and Alobo to perform tonight at de Oriental Grand

Renowned Naga musicians Neise Meruno and Alobo Naga will be performing tonight at 1936, The Conference Hall, de Oriental Grand, Kohima from 6 p.m. onwards.
The two artistes had recently collaborated during an acoustic concert at Kuda Café, Dimapur and tonight’s concert will be of similar nature where the two artistes would be performing some of their originals besides their rendition of various popular contemporary and classic hits.
The two artistes would be performing in a purely acoustic setup and besides their performance; they are likely to hold interactions with the audience like they did in their recent show.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Alobo said it was always “magical and exciting” to be performing with his teacher Nise on the piano, at the same time, he added, it was a huge challenge since there was no room for error as they are on a very up-close kind of  scenario with the audience. He further said he would be performing some songs he usually doesn’t get to sing which will be an opening for the audience to see the other side of him and his voice.
Relating to their recent show, Nise said his collaboration with Alobo at Kuda café was a “very good time” and that they want to take the same concept forward but to a bigger audience in Kohima.
He said the pure love of music was the force behind their collaboration which could be translated as catering to the Kohima audience in a more musical way.
Nise added that people had seen him perform solo, with his group Zowe Madrigal or Voices of Hope but tonight’s show will be just vocal performance accompanied by Piano and no other gimmicks as such which may overshadow the vocal which will be a totally different and a treat for the Kohima audience.
He expressed hope that people would come and enjoy the show which is based on a relaxed concept where people can also ask questions and make the show more interactive and personal. A show more like a living room set up and not another regular concert they have been doing so far, Nise described.
The show is open to all and interested individuals can get more information by calling 8794-72-9399 or 0370-22-60052.
