Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) conducted its third drive of “fair election campaign” on the theme “one man one vote” at Jotsoma village, Kohima with Kezhokhoto Savi as guest speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Savi said today’s Naga society needed a reformation, for which every citizen had to change their mindset.
Highlighting the value and power of one’s vote, he urged upon every citizen to be wise enough to choose the right person.
NLSF vice president Yuwang, also spoke on the role of village council in elections and requested them to be fair and just during election.
NLSF, executive member, Ameto, pointed out the malpractices during election in the state and explained the penalties for such acts as mentioned in Representation of the People Act, 1951.
NLSF clean election campaign has so far covered Phesama, Nerhepheza, Jotsoma and Tyranus Boys Hostel Jakhama under Kohima district and has evoked positive response.
Meanwhile, NLSF has appealed every citizen to make some changes in the upcoming election by being fair and just.
