General officer commanding-in-chief Eastern command, lieutenant general Abhay Krishna, is on a visit to the army’s Spear Corps zone from July 27 to 30, accompanied by general officer commanding spear corps, lieutenant general, Gopal R.
According to PRO defence, the general officer, as part of his assessment of the prevailing security situation in the North East states, commenced his visit from Dimapur on July 27. On his arrival at Dimapur, he was briefed on the progress of operations being undertaken by the spear corps. During his visit, he will be briefed by the operational commanders of Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland besides interacting with heads of other security agencies operating in the North East states.
