Zunheboto District Administration with police and medical department personnel conducted a joint inspection of pharmacies on July 26.
A press release from Zunheboto district media officer Shekho Sophie said that some defaulters engaged in sale of restricted drugs like Codeine Phosphole containing cough syrup and tramadole capsules, were apprehended during the course of the inspection. The release added that cases have been registered under the NDPS Act 1985 against the defaulters while some pharmacies have been sealed.
The seized items along with the accused have been forwarded to court for further necessary action.
