The three-day 12th Kohima District Table Tennis Championship which began on July 27 concluded on Saturday at the Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium.
A press release issued by Kohima District Table Tennis Association general secretary, Vincent Belho informed that the selected players will be representing Kohima district at the upcoming 26th Inter District Championship in Mokokchung.
The table tennis fraternity observed a minute silence in respect and memory of late Kevilevor Metha (Ata) former Nagaland State player before the commencement of the prize distribution.
The prizes awarded included cash and certificates which was distributed by former Champions and Table Tennis patrons led by president Vitho Niekha of Nagaland Table Tennis Association.
Sub-junior girls single: winner – Letsonuo Kire, runners-up – Neipusi Dzüvichü. Sub-junior boys single: Winner – Mhasivi Miachieo, runners-up – Rüdilhoulie Belho. Youth girls single: Winner – Kesinuo Dzüvichü, runners-up – Letsonuo Kire. Youth boys single: Winner – Mhasivi Miachieo, runners-up – Kevinguzo Keretü. Women’s single: Winner – Thejavinuo Rio, runners-up – Kesinuo Dzüvichü. Men’s single: Winner – Seyievilie Seyie, runners-up- Kelhouravi Vivian Rutsa. Men’s double: Winner – Kelhouravi Vivian Rutsa & Seyievilie Seyie, runners-up – James Liezietsu & Vincent Belho. Veteran’s single: Kevirielie Dzüvichü, runners-up – Bendang Longkumer. Veteran’s double: Kethosilie Belho & Kevirielie Dzüvichü, runners-up – Vincent Belho & James Liezietsu.
