Under the children’s parliament initiative –II under the aegis of Development Association Nagaland (DAN) organised a training for the mentors of Children’s Parliament under Wokha district at Libemo Memorial Higher Secondary School, Wokha on August 18.
At the training, district mental health program, Clinical Psychologist Amenla Longkumer, spoke on the topic ‘Mental Health and Psychosocial support for children.’
She encouraged the mentors to take care of the mental health before it led to mental illness. She also mentioned the signs and symptoms of mental illness and the good habits that can be practiced to avoid mental illness. DAN senior program office, Jiji Joseph highlighted the mentors on the roles and responsibilities and the strategies for enhancing Children’s Parliament. The program was attended by 10 mentors from different schools and communities under Wokha district.
