Assam Rifles conduct civic activities

28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a lecture on hygiene and sanitization at Chukitong, Wokha on March 2.
The lecture was organized for students of Govt Higher Secondary School, and civil society of Chukitong which was attended by a total of 240 students, 12 teachers and 20 civil dignitaries.
The lecture was conducted to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and to impress upon the importance of cleanliness for a healthy and disease free life.
In a separate programme on “Wildlife Day” a lecture was conducted by 9 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) on protection of wildlife at Government Middle School, Chizami on March 3.
The students were educated on the importance of wildlife in maintaining the ecological nature, stabilizing the natural process in the environment and various measures for protection of wildlife.
Altogether160 students and 12 teachers attended the lecture who pledged to work together for protection of wildlife in the Chizami Region.
