Governor extends Christmas greetings

Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya has extended Christmas greetings to the people of Nagaland.
In his message, Acharya said Christmas was a time to give thanks to God for His infinite gift of love and mercy to the people on earth.
“As we celebrate the gift of life through the birth of Jesus Christ, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to the all the people of Nagaland,” Acharya stated.
He said Christmas is celebrated to renew the bonds of love, tolerance and compassion which Jesus had taught the world.
In this regard, he also urged upon all to give values to brotherhood, tolerance and caring.
“As God reaches out in love to you and me, let us also reach out to one another irrespective of religion, caste and region and spread communal harmony and unity in the country,” he added.
He also called upon all to pray for permanent peace and brotherhood in Nagaland and to pray that Almighty bless Nagaland with peace and prosperity.
Acharya said, he along with his wife, with a heart full of love wish the people of Nagaland a happy and peaceful Christmas. “Make merry not just on this wonderful day of Christmas but all through the year!” he said.
