Free medical camp was organized by 9 Assam Rifles on December 20 at Pfutsero, Phek district, attended by villagers from Pfutsero sub division. The aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical treatment to the local populace where requisite medical facilities are not available.
A specially constituted medical team under Chief Medical Officer 2IC, N Sandhyarani conducted the medical camp where a total of 110 patients were given the necessary treatment including the screening for diabetes.
Apart from providing medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education including precautions from common viral diseases was also imparted. Emphasis on importance of hygiene and sanitation were explained to the villagers for better living standard.
The people of Pfutsero village and adjoining villages had also expressed appreciation for the free medical camp.
