A 23 member contingent of the Mokokchung District Veteran Football Association (MDVFA) departed from the District Youth Resource Office, Saturday, to participate in the 11th edition of ‘All Nagaland Veteran Football Tournament’, to commence at Chumoukedima from Feb 26 to 29.
According to the General Secretary of MDVFA, Limanungsang Jamir, the MDVFA has lifted the tournament championship for 5 times and has been a runner-up for 4 times, in the last 10 editions of the tournaments.
As a preparatory mode, the team has been undergoing intensive coaching at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, under the mentorship of president MDVFA & SP police, Mokokchung, Manoj Kumar A, IPS, since February 5.
The contingent is led by L Yanger Lemtur as team manager and vice-president, MDVFA, P Imsu Jamir, as the team coach.
