St. Joseph’s College celebrates 3rd Erudite Fest

St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama celebrated the 3rd Erudite Fest (PG) on February 23 and 24 at the college Indoor Stadium under the theme, “Envision, Exert and Excel”. The two-day fest was honored by three dignified personalities on the first day, deputy director for Photography & Storytelling at Asia Associated Press, Yirmiyan Arthur Yhome, as the chief guest, proprietor M/S. T.V &CO., CL-1 Contractor & Supplier NPWD, Thepfuvizo Peter Vizo, as the guest of nonour and pro-vice chancellor, Assam University Diphu Campus, Prof. Sivasish Biswas, as the keynote speaker.


Keynote speaker Biswas stated that he deals with humans and sell dreams in his inspiring talk drawing lots of life-learning experiences he had had in his over three (3) decades as a teacher. The guest speaker Yhome in her speech shared her journey to success and advised the students to be able to do the same.


On the second day, two more speeches were delivered. Honarary faculty and proprietor of Achievers Academy, M. Phira, who shared on how crack civil services; and also shared and asserted that “just because you fit somewhere doesn’t mean you belong there”, thus challenging the students to take risks in their passion. The second was by contractor and proprietor of Nune’s Construction, Nunese Sale, who delivered on the importance of envisioning and working hard to reach one’s goal with consistency.


Other highlights of the fest included special performance by D Hrai, Lunshila, Alense and Pink Pearls. A captivating line up of various competitions including Power Point Presentation, Declamation, Quiz, Up-cycle Fashion and short movie making took place in the fest. Winners for the various competitions were awarded prizes, the program ended with special performances from various artistes: Mezanuo Ngukha, Toshimoa Jamir and Keneisenuo Sorhie setting the stage with their enthralling performances.
