Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) has notified all lead acid battery dealers/refurbishers and recyclers dealing/operating in Nagaland without the registration to apply for registration from NPCB within 15 days.
In a public notice, NPCB stated that all informal/illegal waste battery recycling/refurbishment operators, who do not have consent to operate, to immediately close down. NPBC stated that any information on operating informal/illegal Waste Battery Recycling/Refurbishment in the state could be reported to the NPCB office. Failure to comply with the directions would attract legal actions, NPBC stated.
