NDPP welcomes ‘people-centric’ budget

DIMAPUR, MAR 4 (NPN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has welcomed and appreciated the passing of the “people-centric Budget 2024-25” and congratulated the chief minister, speaker and all members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for the successful completion of another session of the 14th NLA, wherein many important resolutions and decisions pertaining to the people were passed.


In a press note, NDPP media & communication committee said that the cohesiveness of the members in standing united for the welfare of the citizens of the State spoke volumes of the commitment of the leaders towards ensuring the growth of the people of the State and the democratic system they represent.


NDPP said that the budget passed recently only shows the firm commitment of the leadership towards ensuring that the youth of the State are not deprived of their role in the nation building process and also focused on strengthening the core of the state’s economy, particularly the agriculture and allied sectors.


While stating that the party was committed to ensuring good governance from its inception, NDDP said it was encouraging to see the government moving in a positive direction towards achieving this goal. NDPP expressed confidence that the state government led chief minister Neiphiu Rio, would continue to serve the people by ensuring an all-round growth of the State and her people in the years to come.
NDPP further congratulated Dr. Chumben Murry, advisor to CM for having been given the all-important party ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.


Stating that it was imperative for the people of the State to have a dynamic and capable leader representing Nagaland in Parliament, NDPP said the candidacy of Dr. Chumben highly fitting, as a seasoned and groomed politician having extensive experience and expertise in topics relevant to the state’s development. He would undoubtedly play a pivotal role in advancing the growth and welfare of Nagaland once elected to Parliament, it said.


NDPP once again called upon the people of the State to continue and support the NDPP-led PDA government towards transforming Nagaland with the vision of sustainable development.
