The proposed visit of Vice President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari to Nagaland to inaugurate the Hornbill Festival on December 1 at Naga Heritage Complex Kisama, has been “postponed indefinitely”, informed State additional chief secretary (Home) Lalthara in a press release. Sources said the postponement was due to the seven-day mourning announced by the State government on account of former Prime Minsiter VP Singh’s death. Governor K Sankaranarayanan will be inaugurating the Horbill Festival, sources added.
