Twenty-one-year old Moakala Phom was crowned Miss Dimapur 2008 at the glittering Miss Dimapur pageant held Saturday evening at DDSC Stadium. The only graduate among the eleven contestants, Moakala aspires to become an IPS officer. Besides the crown, the newly crowned Miss Dimapur received Rs. 30,000 as cash prize. Reema bagged the first runners up title while Akaholi Yeptho was declared second runners up. The first and second runners up received Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000.
The finale was graced by joint director, Youth Resources & Sports, Arube Zeliang as the chief guest.
