With the aim to create awareness among the public and to educate about family planning and choices of family planning, “SAARTHI awareness on wheel” under Mission Pariwar Vikas was conducted by District Health Society Longleng from July 15 to 20 at all the three blocks under Longleng district.
A press release by media officer, CMO Longleng office informed that SAARTHI-Vehicle was a smartly designed vehicle equipped with IEC materials and family planning commodities. During the programme, awareness and counselling was given to all the eligible couples and sensitized them about family planning and to avail family planning services and choice of family planning its spacing methods where couples could decide intervals for pregnancies and number of children they want by using temporary methods, such as condoms copper T insertion and contraceptive pills followed by distribution of IEC materials, condoms and Oral Contraceptive pills.
